Continue to Promote Economic Growth and Advocate to Federal and State Officials to bring more investments to Portage County.

Continue to support workforce efforts to partner with the State and Employers to find innovative ways to attain meaningful employment and gain skills that businesses value.

Continue to support gap in addiction services by finding innovative ways to return addicted and individuals with records to the workforce.

Work with partners and legislatures to provide quality, affordable housing.

Supported Law Enforcement as follows: (*Effective as of 03/04/2024)

Over $8 million in Increased Funding

Over $900,000 in Repairs and Upgrades to Sheriff’s Office and Jail

Funded over $119,000 in Equipment and $215,000 in Training

Increased Vehicle Inventory to over 80 cars as of February 2024

Funded over $418,000 in Body and Vehicle Cameras

Upgraded Radio Equipment in the amount of over $1.1 Million

Invested over $1 Million in the Dispatch Center

Funded the Construction of 3 Marcs Towers in the amount of $7.1+ Million for better communications and safety of first responders and citizens.

Funded over $1.1 Million to expand broadband services to 2,400+ unserved households.

Funded over $7 Million in infrastructure, maintenance and repairs to Portage County Water Resources.

Enhanced the Portage County Water Search and Rescue Team.

Funded $1 Million in assistance for food pantries to help those struggling with the loss of SNAP benefits, inflation in food prices and the working poor.
